Two Pit-Bulls Attack Man In The Bronx
Hundreds of people experience injuries every day as a result of dog bites. Many of these injuries are due to bites from a pit bull. Recently, a man was severely injured after being attacked by a pit bull mix. As a result, many people are concerned with the dangers of pit bull dogs, but also of the growing number of dog bites in the area. Subsequently, many are concerned that it is becoming a problem that needs to be addressed. In addition, owners need to be held responsible for their dogs if a person is injured as a result of being attacked by their pet.
According to the New York Daily News, a 62-year old man was almost killed and was viciously mauled after being attacked by two pit bulls in the Bronx. The man was attempting to enter Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church located on Belmont Avenue and East 187th Street. The dogs apparently broke free of their harnesses. They began clawing and biting at the man. The attack was so severe and so violent that a priest from the church administered last rights on the man.
As a result, the owner of the dogs was arrested. According to police, the owner of the dogs ordered the dogs to attack the man after the owner had an argument with him.
